Real Fitness for Real Life — At Any Stage.
Living in faith with Crohn's disease, limited equipment, and desk-bound work — and not always living the healthiest lifestyle — taught me that fitness isn't about perfection. It's about adaptation, faith, and daily progress. Now past 50, I'm sharing the journey to help you build strength, protect your joints, and reach your health goals, no matter where you're starting from.
Built on Faith, Forged Through Struggle
This isn't a before-and-after story about a perfect athlete. It's the honest account of a body that's been diagnosed, desk-bound, and over 50 — and the faith-rooted, minimal-gear approach that turned it into a high-output, adaptable life.
Beyond the Diagnosis & The Noise
For years, my biggest health battle wasn't just working out — it was gaining and maintaining weight while managing Crohn's disease. In a culture full of quick fixes and body commentary, I faced judgment, skepticism, and unsolicited advice from people who didn't understand the daily struggle of chronic illness. Fitness wasn't handed to me, and for long stretches, expensive gym memberships and complex setups weren't an option. I had to adapt: modifying routines, learning bodyweight movements, and leveraging minimal equipment to stay consistent.
Modern Life & The “50+” Shift
As a marketing professional, my career requires hours seated behind a desk and frequent travel. In recent years, past the age of 50, my body shifted again — from the struggle to gain weight to managing a fuller physique. Rather than letting age or a sedentary desk job define my limits, I reframed my approach toward functional strength, joint health, and longevity.
Driven by Faith
My story is grounded in faith. I believe our bodies are built to adapt, endure, and thrive through every season. The goal isn't just physical fitness — it's mental resilience and spiritual encouragement to show you that your current circumstances do not limit your future potential.
How the Body Gets Built
A simple, repeatable system — not a fad. Five disciplines that cover strength, stability, engine, and mobility, all serving one goal: a body ready for whatever's next.
Calisthenics
Master bodyweight control, core strength, and movement anywhere — no gym needed. The foundation that travels with you.
Suspension Training (TRX)
Low-impact, anchor-anywhere resistance that builds stability and protects joints under tension — hotel room, campsite, or home office.
Dumbbells & Kettlebells
Progressive loading for muscle tone, power, and functional real-world strength — the loadable core of a minimal-gear system.
Mobility & Stretching
Reverses desk-job stiffness, improves joint health, and keeps you moving pain-free through every decade.
Boxing Conditioning
High-energy cardio, coordination, and mental focus without the high-impact wear and tear — the engine work that stays fun.
Combat Sports — 2027
BJJ & Muay Thai to expand the movement toolbox. See the next chapter below.
The Engine Carries the Mission
The strength built in the gym shows up on the ridge. Dawn ruck miles under a loaded pack, easy aerobic hours that turn into all-day capacity, and a husky-shepherd mix named River who sets the pace up every climb. This is the body the ambulance is being built to carry — and the body faith keeps pointing toward the next horizon.

Combat Sports & Functional Martial Arts
Part of staying challenged and expanding the movement and fitness toolbox over 50 — stepping into two disciplines that test the body and the mind in entirely new ways.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ)
Ground mobility, core leverage, and problem-solving under pressure — a new kind of movement puzzle to keep growing over 50.
Muay Thai
Striking mechanics, balance, and high-level conditioning — the next frontier of functional martial arts and staying challenged.
What the Training Is Built On
Adaptation Over Perfection
Fitness isn't about perfection — it's about adaptation, faith, and daily progress. The plan that works is the one you can actually keep showing up for.
Strength That Travels
Calisthenics, suspension trainers, and a pair of dumbbells build a body that's strong anywhere. The gym is optional; the work is not.
Protect the Joints
Past 50, the goal shifts from chasing intensity to building durability. Mobility and low-impact loading keep the chassis running for decades.
Engine Before Aesthetics
Build the aerobic base and the resilience first. The body that can keep going is the body that gets to keep going.

A rack's worth of weight in a corner-foot footprint. Progressive loading for strength, tone, and functional power without a gym membership.
Resistance Bands & Mobility Kit
Reverses desk-job stiffness — quick routines to unlock tight hips, lower back, and shoulders between meetings.
